Animation Mentor!!!

This is it... I'm in, signed up, ready to go in September. I am officially a student again, and at Animation Mentor no less. Cant wait! Eeeeek, excited!! I'll be posting my progress as I go so look out for new and improved animations coming soon.
In other news, I'm setting up a proper web site and trying to set up a bit of a freelancing business to fund a bit of my way through this. Mainly doing graphic design type stuff but hopefully I'll find a few 3D animation orientated clients. Gonna have to learn Blender though cus I can't afford a commercial Maya license, so that might not be for a while.
Life in Cambridge is going great, I'm having a lot of fun at the circus, learning juggling, diablo tricks, unicycling and staff spinning... not set anything on fire yet though... bit scary!! I had an amazing time at the Beatherder festival with Calum (Dr Beard) and my Ben. Saw Reverend and the Makers and a bunch of quirky bands I'd never heard of whilst getting completely mashed, awesome! Thats about it for excitement. Animation Mentor? What is that? It's good to see you still doing some work, though it's more than what I do for 3D which is nothing xD

Hi Mat, good to hear from you! AM is an animation course based in California that you can do online. It's really great cus it's taught by feature film animators from Pixar, Dreamworks, Blue Sky, ILM etc. so I'm really excited! What u up 2 now, doing a masters? Yes I'm doing the Masters course. I just finished my final report (dissertation) -phew- and I have just over one month to finish my animation project (here is the animatic - [link]). I still have a lot of animation to do, not to mention cleanup and colouring. The music/sound is going to be the toughest part because I want to convey character with it. I'm thinking of ideas like giving Puupuu and the rain character by representing them with different instruments like in Peter and the Wolf. I could also just play what comes naturally, treating the instrumentation as an entire piece without using a single instrument to represent each character. Somehow I'll figure this out
